If country-folk icon Stompin’ Tom Connors was one thing, he most certainly was authentic. He was considered the nation’s unofficial musician with a one-of-a-kind sound, including a trademark appearance and passion to pen Canadiana.

To commemorate the life and legacy of Stompin’ Tom, and tap into an emerging trend of visitors who desire an “authentic” experience, a centre in Skinners Pond, P.E.I. will map this musical man’s journey.

Visitors can discover retail, food and entertainment all under one roof. Among the authentic products, services and experiences, there will also be planned concerts, dinner theaters, open mic nights, song writing, performing workshops, storytelling and much more!

Fans originally drawn to the destination of West Prince because of the nostalgia and passion for Stompin’ Tom now can experience an abundance of up-and-coming P.E.I. performers who will take to the stage and showcase their talents.

In addition to the superb venue for performers, visitors can step back in time through the schoolhouse doors that Tom attended and purchased in the 1970s. After falling into disrepair, a renovation has brought the old building back to life, including an interactive digital interpretation.

The center’s Grand Opening is July 1st, 2017. It is open 12-noon to 8 p.m. daily, with evening entertainment nightly and dinner theatre on select nights.
