I hope that hearing this song inspires everyone to start smiling again. Let’s ALL smile again!”

The release of “Let’s Smile Again” earlier this year kicked off the #LetsSmileAgain movement which aims to inspire people globally to ‘smile again’ and spready joy by using the beauty of a smile to change the world rather than allowing the world to change your smile. Fans around the world are encouraged to join the movement at www.LetsSmileAgain.com and flood social media feeds with joyful reminders of what makes them happy even in the toughest of moments.

Songs From The Vault Vol.3

27 November 2018 (Toronto, ON) – Anthem Legacy, an imprint of ole label group, continues the rich musical legacy of Stompin’ Tom Connors with the release of Unreleased Songs From The Vault Collection Volume 3 on December 7 via Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company. The Canadian musical icon passed with 120 recordings in what he referred to as “The Vault”, in order to safeguard against the possibility that he should at some point find himself unable to continue in the studio. 14 new tracks from this collection will be available featuring special guest artists: JUNO Award-winners The Sheepdogs, CCMA Award-winners The Washboard Union, JUNO Award-winning fiddle virtuosos Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy, JUNO Award-winners The Good Lovelies, JUNO Award nominee Royal Wood and Human Kabab.

“These songs are a collection that Tom recorded in 2011-2012 before his passing and are some of his favorite songs he performed by request before he was known as Stompin’ Tom,” said Tom Connors Jr. “Tom wanted to make sure that many of the old country songs he grew up listening to are not to be forgotten. He put these songs in “The Vault” in hopes that others can enjoy or even record them for themselves one day, to help keep traditional Country music alive and well for generations to come.”

The Canadian Walk of Fame Star Comes Home To Skinners Pond

July 4, 2018

Plaque with a custom boot icon designed by Mike Dunlop

When it was announced Stompin’ Tom Connors would be receiving a star on Canada’s Walk of Fame, his family wanted to honour his time on Prince Edward Island by having a separate star installed at the Stompin’ Tom Centre in Skinners Pond.

The star was revealed on July 1 by his wife Lena and son Taw during the Stompin’ Tom Festival, which was held at the centre from June 28 until July 2.

When asked of the importance of displaying the star at the centre, as opposed to having it in their home, Ms Connors said it was for the community and what the area had meant to her late husband.

“He loved Skinners Pond, he always called Skinners Pond his home, and he loved the people in this area,” she said. “It’s suiting to have the star here.”

Also on hand for the reveal was Anne Arsenault, executive director for the Stompin’ Tom Centre.

Choking back emotion, she briefly had to pause as tears came to her eyes.

BALLINAFAD – It was a day of music and memories on Sept. 4 as the community celebrated the life and music of one of their own: Stompin’ Tom Connors.

The musician settled in Erin Township just north of Ballinafad in 1975 and resided there with his wife Lena until he passed away from natural causes, at the age of 77, in March 2013.

A community group led by Karen Smith helped unveil a plaque at the Ballinafad Community Centre in memory of Connors, who Smith called “Ballinafad’s Canadian icon who travelled from town to town across Canada.”

Smith said, “in deciding a Canada 150 project, we decided what better way to celebrate than to recognize a Canadian icon who lived in our area.”

In seeing the hundreds gathered at the plaque unveiling, Smith said, “I’m just so blown away by this, I could just cry.”

COMING SOON

COMING SOON

Well folks, if your a returning Stompin’ Tom Connors fan you would have noticed that the website has obviously had a complete overhaul from the original site design that was has officially created way back in the year 2000. So it sure has been a long time coming to say the least. We’ve been striving for the past few months to get as much content as we can pulled over from the original site and its original sections, so we ain’t done yet. We figured rather then push back the release of the new design that we would launch it as is and continue to update it as we go along. So with that said, we do hope you’ll continue to stomp on back to the site from time to time to get all new content as we continue to work away at bringing even more Stompin’ Tom memories for all his fans to enjoy.

We would also like to mention that we are working on having a FAN SUBMISSION page. This page will feature photos and stories from YOU the fans to share. Whether it be a concert photo you might of took of Tom on stage or photos taken of you and Tom during a meet and greet after one of his shows, we would love to feature them on the site.

Also to help bring even more content to the official site, we are reaching out to you, the fans in hopes that if you have anything Stompin’ Tom related (tour poster / ticket stubs / memorabilia…etc) that isn’t featured on the site, please feel free to contact us first with a note on what you have and we can go from there.

Thanks – staff
