In 1996 Tom was honoured with a Doctorate of Laws from St. Thomas University in Fredricton Newbrunswick. Here is the actual Doctorate along with Tom in his Graduation Gound. A part of the deal with receiving the Doctorate was that Tom was to be allowed to wear his TradeMark Hat and Stompin` Boots for the ceremonies.

In Cavendish, P.E.I, there is a wax Museum. Within that museum is the only wax figure of Stompin` Tom. In 98 on Tom`s tour to the Island, he decided to take the crew to see it. What do you think, does it do him any justice?

This is the original Schoolhouse in Skinners Pond P.E.I. Tom attended this school between the ages of 8 and 13.

Only a select few have ever won this award. Among them are Pierre Trudeau, and Pierre Burton. This is the Authors Award, and Tom`s excitement is easy to see.

This is the first award Stompin` Tom Connors ever won for music in his life. He was very proud that day, for all his hard work was starting to pay off. Tom still has this on display in his home.

On November 8th 1999, Tom received his first ever award from S.O.C.A.N. It was a Lifetime Acheivement Award for outstanding generation of Royalties over the years. SOCAN is the association that collects the money owed to songwriters and copyright owners of Canada, through radio, TV, Movies, Concerts, and more.

Tom was awarded the Henry Kelneck award by his son, Ike Kelneck in 1995. This was for helping to put Timmins Ontario on the map of Canada by starting out his career in The Maple leaf Hotel.

Tom`s autobiography reached the number one spot on the best sellers list and stayed there for many weeks. This is just one of the newspaper reports showing this. At the same time, Bill Gates released a book and was on the same charts, but not even the richest man in the world could keep up to Stompin` Tom in Canada.

In October of 1998, the City of Winnipeg presented Tom with an official plaque to give him Honourary Citizenship to the city which still hangs in the family home until today.

Tom was presented with the key to Peterborough in 1993 by the Mayor Jack Doris. The inscription is as follows: “Presented by Mayor Jack Doris To Stompin` Tom Connors, The Key To Peterborough where Tom enhanced his love for Canadian Country Music. October 2, 1993”. Jokingly, the first question Tom asked the mayor was if the key would open the local beer stores, and unfortunately it did not. Worth a try though.

On December 31st 1972, Stompin` Tom Connors was announced as the Honourary Goodwill Ambassador of Prince Edward Island for 1973 by the Premier Alex Campbell and the Chairman of the PEI 1973 Centennial Commission Gordon Bennet. It was in recognition and endorsement of his meritorious service to the principles of Island lifeand culture.

This is a plaque given to Tom in 1973 from the Premier of Ontario at the time William Davis, for a concert he performed at Ontario Place.

Tom made headlines across the Country when he held a press conference to show how he decided to give back all his Juno awards as a boycott to the Canadian Music Industry and how it was being too “Americanized”. It was shortly after this when Tom retired from the business to prove that he meant what he said and that it was no publicity stunt as the media wrongly assumed.

In 1999, The city of Timmins, Ontario, honoured Tom with this award for promoting the city across the country in song. It was presented at city hall by the mayor Victor Power the day after Tom`s concert there.
