As everyone knows, one of late night television's biggest stars Conan O'Brien is coming to Canada - taping his show in Toronto at the historical Elgin Theatre the week of February 9, 2004.  The show has approached Stompin' Tom Connors, as one of Canada's National Superstars, to be one of the featured musical guests alongside Nickelback (February 11) and Barenaked Ladies (February 13).

Stompin' Tom will be their featured musical guest on Thursday, February 12; performing what is one of the most famous Canadian songs of all time "The Hockey Song."

Stompin' Tom is a recipient of the Order of Canada, The Governor General's Award of Performing Excellence; the National Lifetime Achievement Award from the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) and has been honoured with Doctorates from several Canadian Universities.  This beloved Canadian Icon has composed more than 500 songs, released 45 albums, written two autobiographies, was the subject of two films and starred in a weekly CBC series.

This high profile appearance should only further awareness and excitement for this legendary artist all across North America.  How appropriate that Conan O'Brien would include this National Treasure as part of their "Canadian Invasion" - this will be a show not to be missed!!
